Must-visit agricultural show in Lincolnshire
Hosting an outdoor exhibition, towards the end of the November, in the heart of the UK, always comes with a weather risk. Fortunately, the torrential rain that Lincolnshire had experienced prior to the show didn’t dampen the spirits of visitors nor did it return over the two days.
Growing on from the success of 2018, the show proved to be a hit with new and returning visitors alike. Almost 300 exhibitors attended with leading brands in the agriculture industry such as a Fendt, Valtra, Manitou and CLAAS all offering support through their trusted dealers.
The ever-popular ‘demo circuit’ played host to an array of machinery including the versatile Westermann Compact-Tractor and powerful Easy Petrol Post Driver. Whilst over in the slightly warmer Lady Eastwood Centre the seminar rooms were packed full of visitors discovering how to take their farm business to the next level.
Rain water recycling for farmers
Searching for positives from the recent flooding is an almost impossible task; yet JRH Water Management managed to conduct a very informative seminar talking about how sustainable and profit-making water systems could benefit your business. Whilst Severn Trent took a closer look at the recycling of biosolids and the nutritional benefits of recycled sewage sludge to soils and crops.
Speaking after the show, Mark Swift, Exhibition Organiser for SPA Power Machinery commented:
“As our head office and showroom is located in Sheffield, Midlands Machinery Show is our most local exhibition and such offers us a great chance to connect with nearby agricultural contractors and farms. The engagement and discussions are always positive as farmers recognise how our innovative machinery solves many day-to-day problems. From the Easy Petrol Post Driver which provides an efficient way to drive posts into the ground right through to the versatile Westermann Compact-Tractor which can operate over 15 unique attachments. Additionally, with many visitors returning each year it offers a great opportunity to build these relationships further. Something which is coming soon with our next customer story.”
