For clearing moss and debris from outdoor safety surfacing commonly found in children's play areas, (for example, wet pour rubber, or rubber tarmac, etc), we would recommend our Moss Brush options. However the specific Brush option required depends on whether you are renovating or maintaining the surface.
Our recommended machines for play areas are:

Westermann WR870 Moss Brush
- Either the Honda GCV170, Honda GXV160, or EGO Power+ Battery Motor
- If it is particularly overgrown and you are renovating the area, we would recommend using a Wire Brush for initial application.
- However, then for regular maintenance, you would need to use the Poly Brush.
- The Wire Brush is fine for initial renovation, but too abrasive to be used regularly on this softer surface.

Westermann CM2 PRO Ride On. Extras required for play areas:
- Hydraulics
- Either the Honda GXV390, or Loncin 2-Cylinder engine
- Oil cooler
- R1000 Radial Wire Brush Attachment
- You will need the R1000 Wire Brush for initial renovation of the area.
- You will need the R1000 Poly Brush for regular maintenance thereafter.
- The Wire Brush is fine for initial renovation, but too abrasive to be used regularly on this softer surface.
